This fall, acclaimed Broadway performers are once again coming to Well-Spring, giving residents the opportunity to experience nationally recognized talent without leaving their community.
The eighth annual Broadway to Greensboro Series returns to The Virginia Somerville Sutton Theatre at Well-Spring from September through November with three celebrated Broadway artists taking the stage. From Tony Award winners to performers with distinguished careers on some of the nation’s biggest stages, this year’s lineup promises a memorable season of music and entertainment.
Kelli O’Hara – September 26
The season begins Sept. 26 with Tony Award-winner Kelli O’Hara, one of Broadway’s most celebrated leading performers. Best known for starring in productions including The King and I, The Bridges of Madison County and The Light in the Piazza, O’Hara has earned eight Tony Award nominations and won for Best Leading Actress in a Musical for her performance in The King and I. Her career has also extended beyond Broadway to opera, television and concert stages around the world. She currently stars in the HBO hit series The Gilded Age.
Debbie Gravitte – November 14
On Nov. 14, Tony Award-winner Debbie Gravitte will bring her powerhouse voice and decades of stage experience to Well-Spring. Gravitte won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Jerome Robbins’ Broadway and has appeared in Broadway productions including They’re Playing Our Song, Perfectly Frank and Blues in the Night. She has also performed with major orchestras and symphonies around the world.
Tony Yazbeck, January 23, 2027
Rounding out the season is Tony Award nominee Tony Yazbeck, an acclaimed actor, singer and dancer known for his dynamic performances on the Broadway stage. Yazbeck earned a Tony Award nomination for Best Leading Actor in a Musical for his performance as Gabey in the 2014 revival of On the Town. His extensive Broadway career also includes roles in Finding Neverland, Gypsy, Chicago, A Chorus Line, Irving Berlin’s White Christmas and Prince of Broadway. A celebrated song-and-dance performer, Yazbeck has also appeared on concert stages including Carnegie Hall and London’s Royal Albert Hall.
Bringing performers of this caliber directly to residents is part of what sets the Well-Spring experience apart. Rather than traveling to New York or even downtown Greensboro, residents can enjoy nationally recognized Broadway talent right in their own community.
The experience is also remarkably accessible. Well-Spring residents have the opportunity to purchase tickets through the resident portal 10 days to two weeks before they are released to the public. Tickets are typically around $16 per performance, making an evening of world-class entertainment both convenient and affordable.
The Broadway to Greensboro Series has become a signature part of Well-Spring’s arts and cultural programming. The 340-seat Virginia Somerville Sutton Theatre creates an intimate setting where residents can experience accomplished performers up close while also serving as a gathering place for performances, lectures and special events throughout the year.
