River Landing at Sandy Ridge is expanding its commitment to education and workforce development with new healthcare training programs that will be housed in what once served as the former Brightspire’s Management Services Office on Sandy Ridge Road. The space is being repurposed into a dedicated training center where individuals can gain hands-on experience and prepare for meaningful careers in healthcare.
Open to River Landing and Kintura team members as well as the broader public, the programs will offer training in medication administration, phlebotomy and certified nursing assistance (CNA), helping participants build valuable skills while addressing the growing need for healthcare professionals.
The Medication Technician Program is designed for individuals already listed on the North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry and provides training in safely administering medications in assisted living and skilled nursing settings. The Phlebotomy Program prepares participants to draw blood for lab testing, an essential skill used across many healthcare environments. River Landing’s CNA Program offers hands-on instruction in foundational patient care, preparing students to assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs and support overall resident well-being under the supervision of licensed nurses.
