A new chapter is underway at Well-Spring, A Life Plan Community as Matt Beam steps into the role of Executive Director, bringing with him a deep passion for serving older adults and a strong commitment to building meaningful relationships.

Matt joins the community following his tenure as Associate Executive Director at Friends Homes, a life plan community also in Greensboro that is managed by Kintura. There, Matt spent four years supporting residents and team members while gaining valuable leadership experience. His transition to Well-Spring reflects both his professional growth and his alignment with the community’s mission-driven approach to care.

For Matt, senior living is more than a career – it is a calling shaped early in life. Growing up in a family that owned and operated skilled nursing and assisted living communities, he spent much of his time immersed in the environment that would later define his path.

“That is where I discovered my passion for this field,” Matt says. “Well-Spring is an incredible community with a strong team and engaged residents. It is truly a premier place to be, and I am honored to be part of it.”

After graduating from Appalachian State University and earning his nursing home administrator license, Matt built a well-rounded foundation in senior living through roles at Trinity Oaks, a life plan community in Salisbury, N.C., and at a Genesis HealthCare skilled nursing community before joining Kintura. Along the way, he developed a leadership style centered on compassion, trust and connection.

“I believe in building relationships with my team and residents by leading with genuine care,” Matt says. “People know when you truly care, and that connection makes all the difference.”

“Matt accepts people for who they are and leads without judgment,” says Hank Lovvorn, Chief Operating Officer at Kintura. “He understands that everyone has different needs and does an excellent job supporting both residents and team members.”

As he steps into this role, Matt is focused on continuing the legacy of strong leadership that has shaped Well-Spring’s culture while building on its momentum. He emphasizes that his goal is not to redefine what makes the community special, but to strengthen and expand it.

“Well-Spring has a unique identity and a culture that truly stands out,” he says. “I am excited to build on that foundation, support our team and continue delivering the high standard of services residents expect.”

Known for his relationship-forward leadership style, Matt describes himself as a servant leader who prioritizes connection, collaboration and support. His message to the team reflects that commitment.

“It is an honor to work alongside such a dedicated group of people,” Matt says. “I look forward to getting to know everyone, building on their strengths and working together to support the future of this community.”

Outside of work, Matt enjoys time with his wife and three children. He is also a self-described foodie and music enthusiast who enjoys live concerts and playing the guitar.

With a clear vision and a heart for service, Matt’s leadership marks an exciting step forward for Well-Spring – one rooted in trust, compassion and a shared commitment to living life well.
