Holiday Connections

The holiday season was all about connection. At River Landing at Sandy Ridge, this included welcoming our Residents of the Future.

In December, River Landing hosted an annual Resident of the Future Holiday Party at the Clubhouse, giving those on our waitlist the chance to mix, mingle and get to know the friends and neighbors who would soon share their community. It was one of the community’s most anticipated traditions—a joyful gathering filled with laughter, good food and a warm introduction to what made River Landing so special.

“This event gave our Residents of the Future a chance to experience the sense of community that makes River Landing so unique,” said Betsy Seaton, Director of Sales and Marketing. “We wanted them to feel connected and comfortable even before they officially moved in.”

This year’s celebration drew nearly 200 Residents of the Future, all coming together to enjoy an afternoon of festive fun and exceptional dining.

Guests were treated to a delicious spread prepared by River Landing’s talented dining team, featuring cocktail shrimp, smoked salmon crostini, Beef Wellington bites, spanakopita, raspberry brie phyllo bites and an array of sweet treats, including petit fours, cheesecake bites and macarons.

To top it off, attendees enjoyed a hot chocolate bar with decadent toppings and syrups, along with an eggnog station that added an extra touch of holiday cheer.

“Our dining team always looked forward to this event,” said Joseph Burdette, Director of Dining Services. “When we had the opportunity to entertain our Residents of the Future, we were able to showcase River Landing’s dining program to new audiences through thoughtful, innovative food and service. It wasn’t just about the menu—it was about creating an atmosphere that encouraged connection, built trust and helped future residents feel at home.”

Events like this were just one of the many ways River Landing went above and beyond to create a seamless transition for future residents. By hosting engaging, lighthearted gatherings throughout the year, the community helped Residents of the Future build connections and feel right at home long before move-in day.

At River Landing, the journey into the community was believed to be just as meaningful—and just as fun—as the destination itself. It was a season filled with friendship, laughter and holiday spirit.
