Continuing Care

River Landing is a Life Plan Community (LPC). A LPC is a type of retirement community that offers more than one level of care on its campus. River Landing at Sandy Ridge has 356 apartments and homes in independent (or residential) living. In our 5-star, Medicare-certified Health Center we have:

• 40 studio and one-bedroom apartments in Muirfield, our Assisted Living area
• 16 private rooms in St. Andrews, our Memory Care area

• 40 private and 2 semi-private rooms in Pebble Beach, our Skilled Nursing area
• 16 private rooms in Winged Foot, our Rehabilitation area

Financially, it’s a great option, as a portion of both the entrance and monthly fees are tax deductible.

In 2011, we introduced Person-Centered Care in our Health Center. Instead of the traditional, institutional approach to care, we put the individual's preferences first.

At River Landing, the person always comes before the task and the voices of older adults and those working with them are considered and respected.

Person-Centered Care is about creating a home inside our skilled nursing area. It is a place where residents choose to live their lives with staff who enjoy assisting them.
